Reflections. In water. In glass. Sunrise. Sunset. These are just some of the subjects that Susan Klinger paints. Realism mostly, but you will also see the occasional abstract. Susan is a visual observer. Nature provides a great deal of her inspiration. Even her work in abstraction in some way seems to interpret nature.
Susan works primarily in pastel, but don’t be surprised to see an occasional watercolor, acrylic or oil with her signature on it. Susan’s 34-year career as a high school art teacher provided her with the ability to work in a variety of media.
In addition to being a regular at Off the Wall, Susan has had success on the national level as well. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Southeastern Pastel Society and the Maryland Pastel Society. She is also an elected artist member of the American Artist’s Professional League. Susan’s work has been accepted into national shows from New York to Florida and as far west as Arkansas.
